All of our DNA testing prices are transparent. In other words, there are no hidden costs. For instance, any extras you might have to pay for will always be disclosed. See below for examples of DNA test prices for the most popular tests we provide.
What is included in the DNA Test price?
- All appointment coordination and correspondence.
- The dispatch of a Home DNA Test Kit if this is your preference.
- Case management including email and telephone support.
- The collection of your DNA samples if you have chosen the DNA Clinic or mobile collection option.
- Sending your DNA test results by secure email in PDF report format.
What are the additional costs for DNA testing?
- Any additional test participants over and above the standard DNA tests advertised. For example, a second child taking part in a paternity test.
- Additional and separate appointments, either at DNA Clinics or different mobile locations.
- Unusual sample collection requirements such as prisons or hospitals.
- Hardcopy DNA paper reports sent by tracked delivery at £10 per delivery.
- Archive retrieval of DNA test documentation at £25 + VAT per request. For example, this could be for copies of consent forms for a legal DNA test.
How much does a DNA test cost?
There are a few factors that determine the cost of your DNA test. First, you need to decide if you require the DNA test results for legal purposes. In turn, this will determine how your sample will be collected. For example, if you do need a legal DNA test, all test participants must have their sample collected by one of our certified samples collectors. This includes legal identification of each person taking part in the test. But If you require the DNA test for personal information only, then you also have the option of using a self-collection kit.
Also, the price can be further affected by the type of test you require and how many people will take part. To help, we have listed some examples of DNA test prices here, all prices are inclusive of VAT.
Appointment based DNA tests at your location
The cost of a standard peace of mind paternity test at your location is £290. This includes 1 mother, child and father. The same test but as a legal paternity for use in court is £420. The additional person costs for both tests are the same as those at a DNA Clinic.
Home DNA Test Kits
You can order a Home DNA testing kit from our online store. The DNA test kit is free and there is also free delivery to your home address. The laboratory test fee is due on the return of your samples. For example, the cost of the standard paternity test for 1 mother, child and father is £99. The additional person cost for the Home DNA paternity test is £42. Also, Maternity, Sibling and Grandparent DNA tests are available as Home DNA kits. Again, Home DNA test kits can only be used for personal information only, not for legal purposes.
Appointment based DNA tests at a DNA Clinic
The cost of a standard peace of mind (personal information) paternity test at a DNA Clinic is £250. This includes 1 mother, child and father. The additional person cost for this test is £60. The same test but as a legal paternity for use in court is £395. Whereas the additional person cost for this test is £90.
Boots Paternity Test Kits
The cost of the Boots paternity test kit is £19.99 from boots.com. The laboratory test fee is due on the return of your samples. For example, the cost of the standard paternity test for 1 mother, child and father is £99. The additional person cost for the Boots paternity test is £42. You must call 0800 988 7107 when you order or receive your kit if you require additional people to be tested. Remember, the Boots DNA test can only be used for personal information only, not for legal purposes.

Self-collection DNA test kits, including Boots paternity tests
When you receive your DNA test kit, simply select the split payment option on the payment form and pay only half the fee. We will be in touch for the balance of your payment before we send you your DNA test results.
Appointment based DNA tests
When booking your appointment with the Clinical Advisor, ask about the split payment option. You can then pay just half of the test cost to secure your appointment confirmation. Our admin team will contact you for the balance of the payment just before we send your DNA test results.
